Updates From Ms. Laura & Mr. Stefan
Dear Keystone Families,
When you choose a school for your child, you choose a community for your family. We are proud of Keystone Montessori’s close-knit community and consider our parents and caregivers among our greatest assets. Montessori education works best when we can build connections between school, home, and the greater community. This makes Montessori truly a way of life.
Families often ask how they can support their child’s classroom experiences at home and how they can be active members of the Keystone community. We know how busy you are, and your efforts to support the hard work of the children and their guides never go unnoticed. We appreciate your faith in us and the Montessori method. One of the best things you can do to deepen your relationships within our community and further your understanding of the Montessori method is to join us as often as possible for parent/caregiver education events.
We are excited to invite you to the annual Keystone Montessori Journey, which will take place on Friday, January 31st, and Saturday, February 1st. This transformative experience allows you to engage with one classroom at each level, from Toddler through Adolescent, and gain a firsthand perspective on your child’s daily learning journey. By observing and participating in these environments, you will develop a deeper understanding of the Montessori approach and its long-term benefits. Additional details will be shared soon, so please mark your calendars for this incredible opportunity!
Dr. Maria Montessori deeply believed in the importance of partnership between families and school, encouraging collaboration built on mutual respect and understanding. Parent/caregiver education events offer valuable opportunities to strengthen this relationship, connect with other families, and experience the joy of your child’s classroom. Most importantly, attending these events positively impacts your child by fostering a deeper appreciation and understanding of their educational journey and the principles guiding it.
Thank you for being part of the Keystone family. We look forward to seeing you later this month as we continue our shared journey in education. There is no magic line between school and home; this, too, shall be their home.
