ADOLESCENTS GIVING BACK IN PERU

Our Adolescent students and their teachers traveled to Peru in May for their end of the year class trip. While there, they visited the Juan Pablo II Orphanage in Cusco. Students, Diego Ruiz and Payden Foubert, reported: “…we went to the orphanage and did lots of fun stuff. First, we split up into groups. Each group was assigned to a house for awhile. We then went to eat lunch. We ended the day with a dance, and donated $500 of our breakfast fundraising money to the orphanage to help fix their bread oven.”

We recently received the following email from the orphanage letting us know the good news that with the Adolescent’s donation, they were indeed able to fix the oven.

I greet you from the Land of the Inkas,
I write to you with some delay, because (this) last Sunday the oven was reactivated and the dream of recovering the Bakery in favor of the children and adolescents of the Village.
Attached photos of the intervention of a new iron and recovery of the oven, whose warm breads we enjoy in his name.
Thank you very much with all my heart, we will keep in touch.
